Friday\, May 16th is Endangered Species Day\n\nhttps://www.endangered.org/endangered-species-chalk-art-event/ \n\nPeople draw pictures of Endangered Species on side walks\, parking lots \, roads\, garage floors  etc.\nyou  take a photo of your chalk art and post to\nhttps://form.jotform.com/250779081878069\n\nThere are winners who get prizes.\n  You can however get chalk sets at WalMart\, Hobby Lobby and Family Dollar and likely other places.   There are very cheap sets\, but those tend to be in pastels\, that don’t resemble most wildlife colors. DESCRIPTION:International Migratory Bird Day is the second Saturday in May. May 10th \nA local event is planned to celebrate IMBD\, but will likely be on the third weekend\, at Bear Butte State Park. \nPHAS has a field trip to La Creek NWR every May\, it is usually on the first or second Saturday in May.
