Amy at asymstad@usgs.gov sets this up.

If you haven’t registered yet and you want to attend, you are encouraged  to do so, as it will allow you access to attend via Zoom, just in case you can’t make it in person, and watch recorded presentations after the workshop. This will also allow us to seamlessly transition to a virtual workshop if the weather is bad on March 10th. Registration is free! Here’s the link: https://tnc.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwqdemtpzwpGNR80xThZtSl3LPTXGElCrN1.
The on-site venue is Outdoor Campus – West, 4130 Adventure Trail, Rapid City, SD. In the registration form, you’ll be asked to indicate whether you will attend on-site or online.  Please indicate “in-person” even if you aren’t sure at this time that you’ll be able to be there. This will help us plan for the “maximum” number of on-site people.  You’ll also be asked if you’ll attend a chili feed after the workshop.

After-workshop Gathering

The Nature Conservancy and their volunteers will provide a chili feed at Hay Camp Brewing Company, 601 Kansas City Street, Rapid City, following the workshop. Note that TNC will not provide drinks, but there are plenty available for purchase from Hay Camp.

Program

The day’s program is finalized; click on the hyperlink at the beginning of the sentence to see it. Abstracts for the presentations are here. Note that one of the presentations (“Science and Politics in Forest Management”, by Sol Smith) will be during the lunch break. If you want to hear that talk and participate in the related discussion, bring your own lunch!
