Black Hills National Forest Releases BHNF Forest Plan Assessments

On Friday, Dec 1st the Black Hills National Forest released its’ Forest Plan Assessments. This is the beginning step in creating the Forest Plan Revision. Scoping will follow in the new year.
The Forest has released the 20 revised forest-wide resource assessments, which will be used along with best available scientific information, and new information as it becomes available, to revise the current Land Management Plan.
In the next year (2024) scoping and a notice of intent to start Plan Development will happen.
