Deadline to comment on BHNF’s Frass Forest Health Project Environmental Assessment;

 “This project is to primarily salvage dead/dying timber and includes the installation of wildfire fuel breaks on National Forest Service lands in an area to the east of Pringle, SD, in Custer County, SD.”  or “Project to primarily salvage harvest beetle infected and/or killed trees to reduce the extent of a rapidly spreading bark beetle infestation and recover value of beetle-hit trees; increase forest health resiliency and reduce risk of wildfire.”

Please be aware that scoping and comments are combined in this project: because of the urgency of salvage operations, the opportunity to comment will be seven days, from 4/11/2025-4/17/2025.
