Deadline to comment on the SD GFP’s Draft rewrite of their Wildlife Action Plan

June 20th is a “sort of” Deadline to comment on the SD GFP’s staff on their Draft rewrite of their Wildlife Action Plan.
We call it a “sort of” as the Commission will act to approve it, likely at the July or September Commission meeting
The federal government requires states to do this plan every 10 years if they want to get various federal funds. This will be at least SD’s 3rd version of a Wildlife Action Plan. The proposed Recovering America Wildlife Act, (which is stalled in current GOP controlled congress) is tiered, in part, to these plans.
You need to go to the GFP Wildlife Action Plan’s web page to download current version or proposed revision..
Currently there is just a one sentence note that they are revising the plan, in white text on a brown background
click on those white words to download the new draft revision.
(These are plans the federal government requires them to do every 10 years to qualify for federal funds)
