Deadline to Send Written Comments to SDGFP Commission

Just before midnight MT is the legal deadline to send written comments to the SDGFP. Even though it is illegal when meeting occurs in MT location, SDGFP’s Artificial Intelligence may cut off the comment period at midnight CT. If they don’t include your comment sent before midnight 11:59 MT, it is illegal and you can complain. Comments received by the deadline are included in the Commission book & public record for October (5th-6th) 2023. Comments received afterwards go to the November public record.
Comments can be directly sent to each commissioner at their e-mails, 365 day of the year, or you can postal mail or call them directly, but such comments don’t go in the public record. Go to our alerts on Commission meetings both future and past for issues associated with Commission. On Thursday they will be considering a petition for rule making on hound hunting of raccoons. If accepted it will move forward to rule making with a finalization hearing likely at the December meeting.
PHAS will object to this.
