The U.S. Forest Service has proposed a policy that could reduce the logging and destruction of old-growth trees in national forests. The comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for this amendment ends on September 20, 2024.
Join Rocky Mountain Wild, Environment Colorado, and Wild Connections to learn about this opportunity to protect mature and old-growth forests. They will discuss how these forests are critical to protecting our climate, the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed National Old-Growth Amendment, and how to add your voice to request strong protections for this critical natural resource.
