Owl-O-Ween – an annual event at the Black Hills Raptor Center on Saturday October 25th,

Join the Black Hills Raptor Center (BHRC)  in celebrating “Owl”-O-Ween on Saturday, October 25 noon- 5 pm, at the Black Hills Raptor Center facility, 15256 EAST Hwy 44, Rapid City. Families are invited to make a reservation and explore the world of owls and other raptors.

Black Hills Raptor Center volunteers will be at the facility with candy, activities, and education birds for participants to meet. Families can go Trunk- or- Treating, dissect owl pellets, make an owl related craft, take family photos with a wizard, enjoy a scavenger hunt, and snuggle black cats from the BH Humane Society. There will be guest raptors from Falconry and Raptor Education group and Reptile Gardens!

Participants can also stop by the new the treatment center, and take a tour. It is almost complete! There also be will be a cookie for every child.

Reservations are required to help BHRC  keep the numbers of people on site manageable. The event is free, with a free will donation encouraged, or donation of a bottle of unflavored Pedialyte, Dawn dishwashing soap, or a roll of paper towels. These items are all critical to BHRC’s ongoing efforts to care for injured and orphaned birds of prey..
