Owl-O-Ween event at the Black Hills Raptor Center Oct 26th afternoon
October 26 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Black Hills Raptor Center is proud to present their annual Owl-O-Ween fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 26! There are a limited number of reservations available between 12-4 pm MT, so please register on our website to join in on the family fun. Here’s what the afternoon will include:
- Trunk-or-treating (a.k.a., lots of candy)
- Dissecting owl pellets
- Owl-inspired crafts
- Family photos with an autumn display
- Raptor-themed corn hole
- Tour the Treatment Center
This Owl-O-Ween is going to be special day. There are not one, but TWO owls making their debut as avian ambassadors at the BHRC. When you attend Owl-O-Ween 2024, you will be part of the first audience to meet the great-horned owl, Theodore Roosevelt, and the saw-whet owl! Both of these owls were rescued in the Black Hills in 2023 and were deemed non-releasable by our veterinary and rehabilitation partners.

The event is free, with a free will donation encouraged, or donation of a roll of painter’s tape, a box of fold over sandwich bags, or a bottle of unflavored Pedialyte. These items are all critical to their ongoing efforts to care for injured and orphaned birds of prey.
