Pennington County Commission meeting June 20th – see mineral withdrawal resolution

Pennington County Commission at their meeting on June 20th – UPDATE: We thought the county would vote on a resolution to support the BHNF & BLM proposed mineral withdrawal around Pactola Lake & the entire drainage. However at the meeting they have proposed both a neutral and opposition resolution (opposing the withdrawal). The motion to oppose cared 3 to 2. Hadcock, Drewes, & Lassiter voted in favor; Rosskenecht & LaCroix voted against the resolution (thus in favor of withdrawal). Pennington County officially opposes the mineral withdrawal. Meeting began at 9 am MT
Pennington County is now offering a live stream of the Board of County Commissioner’s Meetings. Commission Chambers are on the first floor of the Pennington County Administration Building located at 130 Kansas City Street, Rapid City, SD. The Board’s policy is comments must be received at least 24 hours prior to the meeting in order for them to give them meaningful consideration.
