Protecting South Dakota’s Wildlife: Bounties, Predator Control, Killing Contests

Join Prairie Hills Audubon Society, Project Coyote, and Humane World for Animals for this free, educational webinar on Wednesday, April 29 at 6:00 pm MT/7:00 pm CT:
Protecting South Dakota’s Wildlife: How to promote coexistence with wildlife and help end the cruel bounties, killing contests, and predator control policies that target the state’s coyotes and other native species.
Speakers will discuss the vital ecological contributions and lives of coyotes and the ways that they and other wildlife in South Dakota continue to be cruelly and senselessly persecuted. We’ll review the history of bounties, predator control policies, and killing contests in the state, as well as efforts by wildlife advocates, environmental groups, scientists and outdoor enthusiasts to make wildlife management more compassionate and science-based. We’ll conclude by discussing how South Dakota residents can get involved in protecting and coexisting with their treasured wildlife.
