Who – Legislators for Districts 29 and 33 have been invited.
What is a Cracker Barrel? – It’s a moderated question and answer session where the public can ask their elected
representative questions about the legislature. It will be 2 hours long with a short break in the middle. The
event is free. This is the twelfth Cracker Barrel held in our “Foothills Area” communities.
Legislators for Districts 29 and 33 have been invited. They are the legislators who represent the towns of
southern Meade County: Black Hawk, Summerset, Piedmont and Box Elder, as well as other parts of
Pennington and Meade counties.

Due to the pandemic, we have switched to a virtual format for this year. The public attending via internet
connection can ask questions by typing or by voice and by voice if attending on a phone (press *9 if you wish to
be called on). The public will be able to see and hear the legislators, but the public will be heard but not seen.
Closed captioning shall be available for the hearing impaired.

We are meeting virtually by Zoom due to the pandemic. In a normal year we would have the Cracker Barrel at
the Legion just before the Piedmont Valley American Legion’s Steak Night, on the second Saturday in
February. The Legion has continued Steak Night at their Post during the pandemic and they invite you to eat,
with their meal service starting, as normal, at 5 pm on Saturday February 12th.
