Visit to Beaver Dam Analog building project in the Northern Black Hills

Visit to Beaver Dam Analog building project in the Northern Black Hills at Green Gulch/Silver Creek.
There will be another group visit to the Beaver Dam Analog building project in Green Gulch on Saturday Sept 20th, 2025 with a car pool leaving Rapid City at 9 am. We believe the Black Hills Fly Fishers and the Nature Conservancy may be organizing this.
Quote from Lori Brown of TNC:
“There will be a field tour for our Silver Creek restoration site. This project site is a testament to what collaboration in conservation can accomplish. This tour will cover some of the nuts and bolts of Process Based Restoration techniques, the current state of Black Hills riparian areas, how/why beaver restoration can help heal our systems, and what it takes to support watershed restoration at scale. Please feel free to share this tour invite with organizations and individuals who may be interested.
A group will be meeting at 9 am Dakota Angler Saturday morning to caravan to the tour site.
1010 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57702
For folks not coming from the Rapid City area, we will be meeting at the site at 10:15/10:30. See the attached map for directions or give me a call if that’s easier.
If you have any questions about the tour, please feel free to reach out to me.
Thanks,
Lori
