CUP for wind/solar facility west of Badlands NP – Pennington City Planning Com

The review of the CUP application for a wind and solar facility near Conata Basin was continued from July 22nd to August 26th meetings of the Pennington County Planning Commission. We are not yet sure of the time the CUP will be on the agenda, but we assume the meeting starts at 9 am. Check the Pennington County web site, when closer to the date for the agenda.

We were told the meeting room was three/fourth full of people on 7/22/24 who were in opposition to the solar/wind farm. As far as we know, the environmental community did not much know about the CUP being at the July Commission meeting, but the Citizens for Liberty (Tea Party) were very busy organizing against this facility.

the Pennington County Zoning Ordinance.
