June 2 deadline to comment on protecting North Atlantic Right Whale from strikes by ships

Please add a public comment before the June 2 deadline in support of continued implementation and enforcement of the North Atlantic Right Whale Vessel Speed Rule.

Your voice is needed to oppose weakening one of the most important federal safeguards protecting critically endangered North Atlantic right whales from lethal vessel strikes! The Trump administration plans to roll back the North Atlantic Right Whale Vessel Speed Rule, which has been in effect since 2008, in favor of unproven technology-based tools. Efforts to modernize whale conservation strategies should build upon, not replace, proven measures.
